History of Bluetooth

Bluetooth is the industry specification for personal area network (PAN or personal area networks) without wires. Bluetooth connects and can be used to exchange information between devices. Spesifiksi of Bluetooth devices is developed and distributed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. Bluetooth operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band using a frequency hopping traceiver capable of providing voice and data communication services in real time between hosts with distance space. weakness bluetooth technology is a short range and low data transfer capabilities.

The presence of bluetooth makes a person no longer troubled with what cable, what color, to get to where, and where to plug into.  interconnection function can be replaced by a Bluetooth chipset that is placed on a built-in electronic equipment related.

The name "Bluetooth" is derived from the name of the king at the end of ten centuries, Harald Blatand that in England also called Harald Bluetooth. Thus the connotation is not far wrong, because according to mythology, it is said Bluetooth-haired and dark-skinned. He likes to eat blueberries or strawberries, it's worth it when Blatand teeth into a bluish or blue tooth.

He is the king of Denmark who has managed to unite the tribes that previously fought, including parts of what is now Norway and Sweden. Even the Scania region in Sweden, where Bluetooth technology is found also included his territory. Capabilities as a unifying king was also similar to the bluetooth technology now that can connect a variety of devices such as personal computers and mobile phones. While the Bluetooth logo come from the union of two German letters are analogous with the letter H and B (short for Harald Bluetooth), namely H (Hagall) and Runic letter (Blatand) which are then combined.

The beginning of Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology (without cable) which operates in the frequency band 2.4 GHz unlicensed ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) using a frequency hopping transceiver capable of providing voice and data communication services in real-time between bluetooth host-host with limited service reach distance (about 10 meters).

Bluetooth A card that uses radio frequencies to the IEEE 802.11 standard limited range of services and the ability to transfer data is lower than cards for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). Bluetooth formation promoted by 5 large companies Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba formed a Special Interest Group (SIG) is launching this project. In July 1999 document bluetooth specification version 1.0 was launched.

In December 1999 started again making bluetooth specification document version 2.0 with the addition of 4 new promoters namely 3Com, Lucent Technologies, Microsoft and Motorola. Currently, more than 1800 companies in various fields join a consortium as bluetooth technology adopter. Although standard Bluetooth SIG is now 'owned' by the promoter group, but he is expected to become an IEEE standard (802.15).

Currently more than 2,000 companies or community members joined the SIG bluetooth lovers. With bluetooth they offer more value in their products to target customers market top. In the next 2-3 years, bluetooth certain to be mass produced and integrated into a variety of office equipment products, household, health, medical equipment, automotive, music, games, and entertainment. Bluetooth will drastically change the lifestyle and way of working of office equipment and household utensils
