History of Futsal

Futsal is a ball game played by two teams, each comprised of five members. The goal is to put the ball into the opponent's goal, by manipulating the ball with the foot. In addition to the five main players, each team is also allowed to have a backup player. Unlike a football game in the other room, futsal field lines is limited, not net or board. Futsal also well known for a variety of other names. The term "Futsal" is the international term, derived from the Spanish or Portuguese, football and sala.


History of Futsal

Futsal popularized in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1930, by Juan Carlos Ceriani. The uniqueness of futsal gained attention throughout South America, particularly in Brazil.
